HI, I’M VICTORIA

I write jokes and tell stories. Sometimes I write stories and tell jokes. Both of those things live here now.

My writing career began in fifth grade when I hand-wrote a six-page essay. The assignment was to write two.

My standup comedy career began junior year at a college open mic. I fell in love. Not with the pounding fear that radiated from the base of my spine when the eyes of a dozen strangers turned toward me, but with the way my word choice had an effect on people. I could create joy if I said the right thing.

I will not always say the right thing.

This site is dynamic, and so am I. I will grow and learn, and together we’ll craft a platform that serves as many people as it can. And laugh. I’d like it if we can laugh, too.

I hope my words touch you in some way. If not the ones I mutter into a mic, then the ones I pour onto a page. This site hosts my essays, select journal entries, and — one day, hopefully — my books.

Thanks for stopping by, may you find whatever you came for.
